Greetings,
I hope this finds you enjoying these longer days and the plentiful snow. I’ve never been more grateful for the gift of a beautiful, snowy winter than now. Growing chaos in Washington, D.C. has made this session more challenging and unnerving. Getting outside as much as possible and visiting with creative and inspiring community members has really been key. I’ve been connecting with local school board members, administrators and teachers on the education transformation plan proposed by Governor Scott. Welcoming our gifted Youth Poet Laureate, Harwood’s Harmony Devoe (pictured here) for a recent reading was a special treat. I’ve also been encouraged by the committed members of Youth Lobby, Indivisible MRV and Third Act who keep showing up for our democracy and planet.
